Tibetan Mastiff Rescue Information: The Tibetan Mastiff is a massive dog with an enormous head. Tibetan Mastiffs are excellent family guardians. This breed is an independent thinker. Tibetan Mastiffs need to be thoroughly socialized and trained as puppies when they are impressionable and a manageable size. This breed can do okay in a household with a submissive second dog of the opposite sex. Tibetan Mastiffs need large yards with reinforced fences.

Tibetan Mastiff Trivia: The Tibetan Mastiff dates back to 1121 B.C. A Tibetan Mastiff was given as a gift to a Chinese Emperor in ancient times. King George IV of England owned two Tibetan Mastiffs.
