This breed is an independent thinker. Tibetan Mastiffs need to be thoroughly socialized and trained as puppies when they are impressionable and a manageable size. This breed can do okay in a household with a submissive second dog of the opposite sex. Tibetan Mastiffs need large yards with reinforced fences.
